February is National Heart Month so why not think about going for red?

You could take part in National Wear Red Day on Friday 26 Feb or choose your own event - anything goes as long as it's red!

The British Heart Foundation has free fundraising kits with plenty of posters, stickers, games, ideas and a little collection box. To get a kit you can contact Fundraising Volunteer manager Carole Nicol tel 0141 954 8542 or email nicolc@bhf.org.uk

So what can you do to keep your heart healthy? Well, lots, regardless of your age. Just read on…

Take enough exercise, eat a healthy diet, be aware of dangers such as smoking, drinking, high blood pressure and stress.

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) saves lives through pioneering research, patient care and vital information.

BHF's Carol Nicol said: "National Heart Month is our annual campaign to raise awareness of heart disease, encourage people to take steps to improve their own heart health and to raise vital funds for our work."
