Show your support for Earth Hour
North Ayrshire Council is serious in its role of tackling climate change.
That's why we will be supporting the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Earth Hour this Saturday 27 March. It is hoped that over a billion people around the world will switch off their lights for an hour at 8.30pm.
Last year more than 200 UK landmarks – including Big Ben and Edinburgh Castle switched off their lights and it is hoped that 2010 will be even better.
To show that North Ayrshire Council understands and cares about the challenge of climate change we are asking our own staff to switch off lights in all our council offices this Friday 26 March at 12.30pm for an hour.
Please show your support by switching off your lights on Saturday evening at 8.30pm.
You can also pledge your support to Earth Hour to show your commitment to the environment.
