From 1st June 2010 anyone in the North Ayrshire Council Area dealing in knives, blades, swords or any article with a blade must have a "Knife Dealer's Licence".
Such applications must be submitted no later than 1st December 2009 in order to keep their grandfather rights which allows the applicant to continue trading until their licence is granted. Applications received after this date may result in you having to cease trading in these goods until such times as your licence is granted.
