Youth Leadership Training
Community Learning and Development employ a number of part-time staff to deliver a wide range of youth work across North Ayrshire.
These staff come from many different backgrounds and bring with them a variety of life experiences and skills which contribute to young peoples' personal development.
To assist these staff to deliver effective youth work programmes and improve their skills in working with young people, a variety of training programmes are delivered each year.
Training courses include basic youth work, boys work, girls work, street work and youth issues as well as specialist skills including first aid and supervision out of doors.
An important aspect of training provision is health and safety issues which includes child protection, trips and visits and adventure activities.
