Development
As part of our strategic role for housing, the Council is committed to ensuring continuous improvement within local areas. This improvement can take various forms, ranging from new homes through Housing Associations and Council House Building to the regeneration of existing areas. Our investment priorities are detailed in the Strategic Housing Investment Plan (PDF, 416Kb) which will help to guide the delivery of affordable housing over the next five years.
North Ayrshire Council has reviewed its Housing Revenue Account Business Plan and this process has demonstrated that the Council has the capacity to fund and deliver 50 new houses per annum (assuming the Scottish Government also contributes around £30,000 per unit).
