Register of Interested Tenants

We recognise that joining a tenants group does not suit all tenants. We have created a register of actively interested tenants who have indicated that they would like to be consulted over issues that may affect them. If you would like to be added to the Interested Tenants Register, complete the application form| (PDF 68kb).  Please return all completed forms to the Tenant Participation Team, details can be found below.

Sheltered Housing Forum
This is a consultation group for tenants living in the Council's sheltered housing.  Meeting 4 times a year, this group aims to have members from every sheltered housing scheme. They discuss issues of concern for sheltered housing tenants and are consulted on changes and issues that specifically affect older people.  If you want to find out more or are interested in becoming involved please contact the Tenant Participation Team, details can be found below.

  • Scottish Social Housing Charter

The Housing Bill which is currently before the Scottish Parliament, makes provision for a Scottish Social Housing Charter.  This will set out the outcomes that social landlords should be achieving for tenants, homeless people and other services users.

The Scottish Government will develop the Charter in consultation with stakeholders and, as part of that consultation, have developed a website where individuals and organisations can access up to date information about the Charter.  They will also be able to post ideas and comments online and comment on the views of others.

The Scottish Government, Tenant Priorities Team would like to reach as many tenants and potential tenants as possible to participate in the Charter conversation.  The website also has a poster and a comments form for individuals who are unable or who prefer not to use the online facility.

Log-on to the Housing Charter website by clicking on the link below:
