School Grants and Benefits
The education maintenance allowance provides a sum of £30 per week if you are eligible and continue in full time education at school beyond the statutory leaving age of 16.
Free school meals are available for any child whose parent/carer(s) are in receipt of Income Support, Income-based Job Seekers Allowance, Income-based Employment and Support Allowance, Child Tax Credits or support under the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.
Footwear and clothing grants are available for any child whose parent/carer(s) are in receipt of Income Support, Working Tax Credit/Child Tax Credit, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Rebate, Income-based Job Seekers Allowance, Income-based Employment and Support Allowance and support under the Imigration and Asylum Act 1999.
