Early Years Grants
All Children are entitled to a free nursery place from the term after their third birthday.
Parents should register their child at the nursery of their choice and complete a registration form. The form requests that parents indicate a second choice.
Where possible the first choice is granted, however if places are insufficient the parent will be offered a place in their second choice.
An advert appears in the local paper giving contact details for all North Ayrshire Council Nurseries including partner providers.
There is no catchment area for nurseries and parents can apply to any nursery in North Ayrshire. If a parent requires a place in a nursery out-with North Ayrshire for a specific reason a cross boundary place can sometimes be arranged.
