School Meals and the One Scotland Card
The card is used in all secondary schools to top-up your catering account. No money is taken at the servery. To ensure that payment is made to their account pupils should use the card at the "top-up" payment machines.
The card is placed on the reader at the servery, food is selected and then the cost is deducted from the appropriate catering account. Cardholder names, photo and balances are visible on the till display. Balances can also be viewed at the "top-up" machine by entering the card.
If a pupil loses their card they should inform the Catering Officer to ensure that their card is suspended. They will be issued with a "temporary" pin number which they can use short term until they have requested and received their replacement card by calling 0845 603 0596 between 0830-1730 hrs Monday-Friday. When they receive the new card they should again advise the Catering Officer so that the new card can be activated.
