North Ayrshire Council offers training opportunities through Modern Apprenticeships and Training for Work schemes

Modern Apprenticeships

The Modern Apprenticeship training programme is available to young people under 20 years of age.

Trainees are placed within NAC offices for a period of one year during which time they build a portfolio of work. Successful completion of this portfolio brings an award of a Scottish Vocational Qualification in Business Administration (SVQ Level 2)

While training candidates receive a training allowance, currently £87.50 per week.

Training for Work Scheme

This scheme is for eligible adults over 18 years of age. While on the scheme candidates continue to receive their current benefits and will be paid a contribution to travel costs.

Candidates are again placed in NAC offices and build a portfolio of work leading to SVQ 2 in Business Administration.

Employment Vacancies

While on the above training schemes candidates are eligible to apply for employment within NAC.
