Problems paying your Council Tax.
We are here to help if you are having difficulty paying your Council Tax.
If you are worried or having difficulties making your Council Tax payments, or if you are in arrears, our dedicated Debt Recovery Team can discuss, in the strictest of confidence, an agreed and affordable repayment plan to clear previous years debts, while keeping the current year up to date.
Special arrangements will be made at our discretion, only if information regarding your employer and earnings is supplied.

The Debt Recovery Team can also put you in touch with Money Advice |and Welfare Rights |. Advisers for additional, independent and confidential help. If you are on a low income we can also refer you to our Benefits Service | to ensure you are receiving any Council Tax rebate you may be entitled to.
Paying your Council Tax is not a matter of choice and the Council will take action to recover any debt owed. Therefore, it is in everyone's best interest to come to a repayment arrangement to clear any arrears as soon as possible. You can contact the Debt Recovery Team at any time during the recovery process to discuss a repayment plan and prevent further action being taken.
The Debt Recovery Team works in partnership with Stirling Park, Sheriff Officers in order to maximise collection of unpaid Council Tax. A member of staff from Stirling Park, Sheriff Officers is now working in the Debt Recovery Team part-time.
