Performance Management Strategy 2012-15

The Council's Performance Management Strategy has been updated for 2012-15.  The updated Strategy focuses very firmly on embedding a performance management culture throughout the organisation.  Self assessment is central to the Council's approach to performance management and improvement.

 

Robust implementation of this strategy and action plan should ensure that the Council sustains the recent pace in developing its performance management arrangements.

 

Good performance management offers the Council many benefits. It:

  • drives continuous improvement
  • helps to clarify objectives
  • promotes accountability and transparency
  • enhances governance
  • enables best value to be demonstrated
  • instils confidence in employees, service-users and scrutineers
  • protects and enhances the reputation of the Council.
