Housing Renovation Grant for a Private Property
Keeping a home in good condition is mainly the responsibility of the owner. It is in their interest to ensure that necessary repairs and improvements are carried out, keeping the property in good condition and maintaining it's value.
The condition and quality of Scotland's housing is a key issue with Scottish Parliament and Local Government. Both are committed to ensuring that everyone has decent, affordable housing. Poor housing can affect people's health, it may be a danger to the public and can have a negative affect on the local environment. It is recognised that some people require assistance to maintain their homes and grant assistance may be available.
