Council Tax Benefit
Council Tax Benefit could help pay towards some or all of your Council Tax bill if you are on a low income, even if you own your own home. You can download a form to claim Housing and Council Tax Benefit (PDF 149Kb).
During March and April we are carrying out a Customer Consultation Survey to ask your opinion on our targets as well as some aspects of our service. We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete the survey on line. The results of the survey will be posted on our website, and at our office at Cunninghame House once the survey has closed.
From 6 April 2012 there will be changes to the rules for claiming Working Tax Credit which may affect the amount of Council Tax Benefit you are entitled to. If your Tax Credits change or stop you may be entitled to more Council Tax Benefit.
