Garden Maintenance
We provide a garden maintenance for elderly or disabled people who are not capable of doing the work themselves. You should apply for this scheme each year that you need the service.
We provide this service for people:

Aged 75 and over

Aged 65 and over and in receipt of Attendance Allowance (higher rate) or free personal care

Aged under 65 and in receipt of Disability Living Allowance at the high rate (Mobility) or highest rate (care)
A charge of £55.75 is made for this service. If you join the scheme after the scheme has started you will be charged the full fee.
What we do
We will cut drying green areas and front gardens and grass and hedges where they border a path. We do not carry out weeding or planting.
How to apply
Applications can be made by taking the Grass Cutting Scheme Application Form to any Housing Office, Area Teams or to the Grass Cutting Scheme Office (see opposite).
