Researching your family history
Our family history service (formerly the Vennel Local and Family History Centre) is part of the North Ayrshire Heritage Centre, Manse Street in Saltcoats.
We have the following genealogy resources:
We also sell vouchers for the popular ScotlandsPeople website.
We can also arrange for local Registrars (Word, 28Kb to to help people access birth, marriage and death certificates from all over Scotland for a small fee.
We offer a research service for those unable to visit the centre personally, and staff at the centre will happily lend a hand to anyone who calls in to carry out their own research.
The library is available to anyone, from academics to amateur enthusiasts or casual browsers.
