Mainland Service

Arran Outdoor Education Centre has a mainland office, based in Irvine. It provides a service, primarily, for all pupils in North Ayrshire.

 

The activities include

 

At the Arran Outdoor Education Centre we make connections between the classroom and the natural world. We do this through the Curriculum for Excellence|. It makes learning  interesting, exciting and relevant for our pupils.

 

Our Outdoor Education Youth Development Worker has eight years experience within education and the following qualifications:

  • Summer Mountain Leader Award
  • Climbing Wall Award
  • Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Orienteering
  • First Aid at Work
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • NEBOSH Certificate
