At the Arran Outdoor Education Centre safety is paramount.

All our instructors are experienced and qualified in the activities that they lead. Our specialist outdoor equipment is subject to rigorous safety checks, and we are inspected and licenced by the Adventure Activities Licencing Service.

All of our activities are risk assessed, and instructors adhere to strict guidelines and standard operating procedures when running an activity session. Stringent health & safety guidelines are also adhered to in all of our Centres and departments - fire safety, food hygiene, safe working practices etc.

We are registered with the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority to provide Kayaking, Paddle Surfing, Sailing, Windsurfing, Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Gorge Scrambling, Off-Road Cycling, Hill Walking & Mountaineering.

We are affiliated to the Mountaineering Council of Scotland, a Scottish Canoe Association approved centre, a Royal Yachting Association Training Centre and we have close ties with the British Horse Society.
