Sea– Kayaking Course| (PDF, 298kb) provides an opportunity to learn the skills and techniques associated with journeying in Sea – Kayaks.
The Course content is based on the skills & techniques adopted and coached by the Scottish Canoe Association & British Canoe Union|.
An introduction to Sea-kayaking usually takes place in a sheltered location and this part of a course concentrates on introducing the basic strokes and rescue techniques. For the client with more experience tuition normally takes place as part of a trip or expedition.
The method used to impart the course content is progressive and thorough since competence in basic strokes along with sound rescue techniques makes
for a safe and enjoyable experience at sea.
