Community and Day Centres

Our centres provide a range of activities and facilities for people. Places at a day centre are usually allocated following an assessment of needs by a social services officer.

A our Community and Day Service Centres, we aim to promote:

Our Service Objectives are

  • To assist people to remain in their own homes should they wish to do so
  • To promote social stimulation and prevent isolation
  • To provide a resource for social care and health
  • To promote the maintenance of daily living skills
  • To contribute to rehabilitation 
  • To provide specialist care for people with cognitive impairment
  • To provide support and information to carers

Policies and Procedures

Staff can advise you on a particular policy or procedure.

Rights and Responsibilities

The Charter of Rights for people who use the service is displayed in the unit. It emphasises some of the fundamental rights promoted by the Council about individuality, respect, dignity and choice.

Complaints and Suggestions

We try to maintain our high standards of care at all times and the Care Commission and Service Monitoring Officers regularly check us.
