1. Exclusion of Public

The Council resolved, in terms of Section 50A(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, to exclude from the Meeting the press and the public for the following item of business on the grounds indicated in terms of Paragraph 11 of Schedule 7A of the Act.

2. Single Status

The Chief Executive briefed the Council on progress on Single Status. The Assistant Chief Executive (Personnel) then submitted a presentation to the Council outlining the background and current position in relation to Single Status, including the result of the various consultation exercises undertaken with both the Unions and staff, and highlighted the implications to the Council arising from Single Status legislation.

Thereafter, the Assistant Chief Executive (Personnel) responded to questions from Members of the Council on the content of the presentation.

The Meeting ended at 1.40 p.m.
