IRVINE, 20 May 2005 - At a meeting of the Recruitment Sub Committee of the Corporate Services Committee of North Ayrshire Council at 9.45 a.m.

1. Exclusion of the Public
The Sub Committee resolved, in terms of section 50A(4) of the Local Government Scotland Act 1973 to exclude from the meeting the press and the public for the following item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A of the Act.
2. Interviews for Post of Head of Service (Educational Services)
The Sub Committee interviewed three candidates for the post of Head of Service (Educational Services), those candidates having been short-leeted at the meeting of the Sub Committee held on 4 May 2005.
The Sub Committee agreed to appoint Ms Carol Kirk to the post of Head of Service (Educational Services).
The meeting ended at 1.50 p.m.
