Building Standards is responsible for inspecting Raised Structures and Licensed premises as part of their duties.
If you plan on erecting a raised structure (stage) for any sort of event then you will require permission from Building Standards Section of the council. The structure must be approved by a structural engineer for its intended use. All necessary certificates and application forms are available below.
