Parks and open spaces – landscaping

We manage around 260 hectares of woodlands. We are responsible for planting and maintaining shrubs, trees and flowerbeds in open spaces, maintaining local sports grounds and dealing with emergencies - such as clearing fallen trees.

 

The Grounds Maintenance Section provides services to maintain our open spaces, this includes:

  • Open space areas
  • Road verges and roundabouts (Excluding Trunk Roads)
  • Sports pitches
  • Bowling Greens
  • Public parks
  • Tennis courts
  • Agriculture
  • Bedding schemes (Glasshouses)
  • Play areas
  • Water safety

  • Nature Trails (in Irvine New Town)
