Park and Ride Facilities
Park and Ride facilities are available at the majority of railway stations within North Ayrshire, which enable commuters to leave their personal vehicles in a designated car park and transfer to public transport facilities.
Park and Ride facilities are part of a sustainable transport network, and allow users to transfer a portion of their journey to more sustainable modes of transport.
North Ayrshire Council will support SPT in identifying potential for bus-based Park and Ride and will explore the potential to develop and expand Park and Ride facilities at key locations.
